Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles

This milestone performance celebrates three decades since Classical Mystery Tour’s very first concert, presented at Segerstrom Center (then called Orange County Performing Arts Center) in 1996. For this anniversary event, the acclaimed Beatles tribute will be joined by a 30-piece orchestra comprised of Pacific Symphony musicians, bringing the beloved Beatles catalogue to life as it was originally recorded.

For 10 weeks, the annual attraction invites guests to wander 55 acres of Giant Tecolote ranunculus in full bloom, with sweeping fields of large, double-petaled flowers in vivid seasonal color. From March 1 through May 10, nearly 80 million flowers will blanket the rolling hills of North San Diego County in 13 shades of red, pink, orange, yellow and white. What began in 1965 as a small ranunculus farm has grown into a beloved spring destination, drawing visitors from across the country to experience one of the most photographed floral displays in the United States.

Newport Beach Goes for a World Record at Balboa Pier

Visit Newport Beach is inviting the community and visitors to Balboa Pier on Sunday, April 19, for an attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the World’s Largest Swing Dance Lesson. The free event takes place at Peninsula Park Athletic Field on the Balboa Peninsula, just steps from where the Balboa Swing style was born at the legendary Rendezvous Ballroom in the 1930s. To set the record, more than 391 pairs, or 782 people, will need to take part in a single lesson together.
