One of California’s most highly anticipated events, the Santa Barbara Vintners Festival, returns for its 38th year on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. The first wine festival ever held in Santa Barbara County, the Vintners Festival will take place at the Old Mission Santa Inés in Solvang, featuring more than 50 wineries and gourmet offerings from over 20 regional chefs, restaurants, and food producers.
Coffee enthusiasts have a new coffee concept to visit. The Ghoukassian Family, the restaurateurs behind the legacy concepts Bistango and Bayside Restaurant, opened Press & Moka Coffeehouse, a European-style casual coffee shop in Irvine. The shop, which is located adjacent to the Airport Tower building on Von Karman Avenue, across from Bistango, features everyday coffee favorites, alongside specialty roasts and more. To bring their vision to fruition, the brother-and-sister team, Marc and Karyn Ghoukassian, partnered with Caffè Vergnano, Italy’s oldest roastery, established in 1882.
