This latest venture invites diners to embark on their own culinary adventure, designed to be a full-sensory experience. "The community's response to Benny & Mary’s shows that Orange County is ready for the kind of adventurous dining experience we aim to offer," says Vigil, who co-owns seven OC restaurants, including Toast Kitchen & Bar and Julep Cast Iron Kitchen & Drink. Newport Beach Film Festival’s Closing Night Centerpiece: ‘Music by John Williams’

On Thursday, October 24, the Newport Beach Film Festival will present the closing night screening of Music by John Williams as its Centerpiece Documentary, starting at 8:15 p.m. at Big Newport 5. In attendance will be producer Frank Marshall, who will be honored with the Festival’s Arts Champion Award, and director Laurent Bouzereau, who will receive the Artist of Distinction Award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking.

Renovated Lido Theater to Host Newport Beach Film Festival, October 18-24

For the first time in five years, the historic Lido Theater, recently renovated to preserve its Art Deco charm while adding modern features, will be a key venue for the 2024 Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF). Now celebrating its 25th year, the festival runs from October 17-24, 2024, and will showcase over 350 films from more than 50 countries. Select screenings will take place at the Lido Theater, including the highly anticipated Closing Night film A Real Pain, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin, on Thursday, October 24 at 8:30 p.m.

Inaugural Mexican Food & Wine Festival at CHAAK Kitchen

CHAAK Kitchen is set to host its first-ever Mexican Food & Wine Festival on Saturday, October 19, from 2—6 p.m. The event will bring together seven local restaurants and 29 wineries in celebration of Mexico’s rich culinary and winemaking traditions. Restaurateurs Ed & Gabbi Patrick, owners of CHAAK and Gabbi’s Mexican Kitchen, have collaborated with La Competencia Imports’ Founder Tom Bracamontes to create this special experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample exclusive Mexican wines from Baja California, Coahuila, Zacatecas, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, and San Luis Potosí.
