The JDRF One Night Extravaganza at the Iconic Union Station in LA

March 07, 2022

For the past sixteen years, I’ve been involved in JDRF, the world's largest nonprofit funder of type 1 diabetes research. JDRF is accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications. I’m currently serving my second term on the JDRF Board. I joined the cause shortly after my son Tristan, 30, who was fourteen at the time, was diagnosed with type one diabetes. It’s a life-changing event and a scary diagnosis for all. I know that JDRF is improving the life of not just my son but the lives of millions who are living with this egregious disease. For that reason, I hope you can join JDRF One Night Extravaganza on April 2 at the iconic Union Station in Los Angeles.

IKEA Partnered With South County Outreach in Irvine

As you know, the pandemic has changed our perception of work -- where and how it happens -- and our workspaces -- where they are, how they should function...both at home and at "the office." This is of course true for the dedicated team at South County Outreach (SCO) in Irvine, as well. With food and housing insecurities increasing during the pandemic, SCO, a leader in the fight to end hunger and homelessness in Orange County, needed additional staffing to continue to serve the community, but barely had enough space to do so comfortably at their HQ in Irvine.

FH Home’s Share the Love Event Benefits Bracken’s Kitchen

When you shop for home furnishings at FH Home within the Tustin Marketplace (between The Home Depot and Nordstrom Rack), you can feel good that 100% of the store’s profits are going towards Furnishing Hope’s mission to provide furniture and supplies to wounded warriors and families in crisis. They also partner with other nonprofits for special Share The Love Events where proceeds are shared. These Share The Love Events are created to connect with local non-profits, supporting their community and fundraising goals.
