Free Summer Dance Nights and Concerts Return to Segerstrom Center

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is bringing back its popular summer programming on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza with free Tuesday Night Dance classes through August and Summer Sounds outdoor concerts starting June 12.The all-ages dance series runs through August and features styles including Latin rhythms, K-Pop, Broadway, line dancing, Bollywood, hula and hip hop, all led by local instructors. Visit Newport Beach is inviting the community and visitors to Balboa Pier on Sunday, April 19, for an attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the World’s Largest Swing Dance Lesson.The free event takes place at Peninsula Park Athletic Field on the Balboa Peninsula, just steps from where the Balboa Swing style was born at the legendary Rendezvous Ballroom in the 1930s.
