The Place for Community, Coffee and Toast

January 31, 2017

If you haven’t yet discovered Kit Coffee and you are a coffee/tea and toast person, you need to make it over to Kit at Castaway Commons on Westciff Drive in Newport Beach. It’s sandwiched between the new Café Gratitude and Lavender Salon.

Kit is a multi roaster coffee shop that offers a simple menu of hand-picked small roasters such as Hart Coffee from Portland, Coava from Portland and Temple from Sacramento, as well as pastries and sweet and savory toasts.

Favorites from the menu include the breakfast burrito with cilantro brown rice, eggs, hash browns, bacon and onion; Sweet Matcha Brulee Toast; Ricotta Toast with honey and rosemary; and of course the Avocado Toast with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, chives and house pickled veggies.

You can choose from flash brew Kilenso, Cortado, Americanos, Vanilla Lattes, Peppermint Mochas, Soy Lattes, Green Tea Matcha, London Fog (a tea latte), Matcha Green Iced Tea, Kombucha and much more.

We love the clean and minimal aesthetic, plus the staff are very down to earth and friendly.

Open daily 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

1617 Westcliff Drive in Newport Beach.
