The District at Tustin Legacy Celebrates the Lunar New Year

February 05, 2021

The District at Tustin Legacy will kick off the Year of the Ox with lucky red envelopes, culinary delights and festive photo backdrops.

Several restaurants and shops will be offering exclusive Lunar New Year specials:

  • J.Zhou, the critically-acclaimed dim sum and seafood restaurant, has re-opened for patio dining and takeout and will be featuring several Lunar New Year dishes, including a lavish hot pot dish called Pen Cai, with a variety of seafood and meats, including prawn, abalone and sea cucumber. During the Lunar New Year, eating dumplings is also considered auspicious, along with noodles for longevity, both of which can be found on the restaurant's popular dimsum menu.
  • Stowaway Tiki will be offering a fun Lunar New Year's themed cocktail called the Plucky Ox
  • Ritz Nails will offer lucky red envelopes to all customers after their service on February 12th. Inside will be either $1, $2, or $5 and they will be offering 20-percent off services on Feb 13th and 14th

In keeping with social distancing guidelines, The District is celebrating Lunar New Year with a Spend & Receive promotion beginning Friday, February 5th through February 20th, 2021. Customers can bring in receipts totaling $100 or more from The District businesses and receive a ‘Lucky’ red envelope with a gift card inside valued up to $100!

Receipts can be from any retailer, restaurant or shop at The District, including Costco, Whole Foods, Target and Home Goods. The redemption booth will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13th & 20th and will be located in the Union Market courtyard.

Also, keep those smartphone cameras ready for a festive photo backdrop under a canopy of red lanterns, located in the Union Market Courtyard from Feb 5 – 21st.  The lucky red envelopes will be given away on a first-come, first served basis and will be limited to one envelope per family.
