Shuck-It at Ways & Means Oyster House

The award-winning Ways and Means Oyster House at Pacific City in Huntington Beach is celebrating its two-year anniversary through Sunday, Jan. 21 with incredible daily specials and its third annual Shuck it Competition on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Stop by and treat yourself to Whole Maine Lobster (limited quantity) at $9.99, Fish & Shrimp Tacos at $2, Bottomless Blonde Beer and Margarita Pitchers at $10, Wines by the bottle at 50% off, Specialty Vodka & Gin martinis at $6, Glasses of premium champagne at $10, Sparkling Cocktails at $6, and Classic Seafood Broil with all of the trimmings at $25.

On Saturday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m., Orange County's first responders will go head-to-head in an oyster-eating contest for charity. Team members from the Huntington Beach Police Department, Fire Department, and local lifeguards will be given 60 seconds to eat as many oysters as they can, while spectators cheer on their favorite team. The event, emceed by local legend Scott Cameron boasts fierce competition coupled with a good cause, as $3 from every oyster eaten by the winning team will be donated to that team’s charity of choice. 

Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
