OC BAKING COMPANY 2ND ANNUAL PRE-THANKSGIVING BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER

November 18, 2014

The Saturday before Thanksgiving is one of OC Baking Company’s busiest days at the Orange Home Grown Farmers and Artisans Market in Old Towne Orange. If you visited the market on that day last year, you know that your bread purchase went to support diabetes awareness for a cure.

This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., they will be hosting the fundraiser again, OC Baking Company will be donating 100% of Saturday's Orange Home Grown  sales to the making of “The Human Trial," the first major film about diabetes.

And, the good people at Orange Home Grown will MATCH the amount raised!

Master Baker, Dean Kim at OC Baking Company was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes several years ago and he knows firsthand just how life threatening and life changing diabetes can be.

“I want to create awareness and, of course, I want to find a cure, “ says Kim. “The film will raise the public profile of diabetes -- the fastest growing disease in the U.S. -- and help lead the nation to new support, money and research towards a cure.”

Once again, OC Baking Company will be baking special items for Thanksgiving, including a fig and pecan loaf, cranberry walnut bread, cinnamon swirl brioche, sweet potato and white chocolate bread, assorted mini baguettes, dinner rolls, and much more. Come stock up for the holiday weekend!

Orange Home Grown Farmers & Artisans Market is  at 304 N. Cypress Avenue in Old Towne Orange.
