Polly’s Pies Celebrates 50 Years in Long Beach

When brothers Eddie and Don Sheldrake opened their third Polly’s Pie location in Long Beach’s California Heights neighborhood in winter of 1972, Richard Nixon was president, the Oldsmobile Cutlass was the most popular car on the highway and gas was 36-cents a gallon. Since then, we’ve elected nine U.S. Presidents, gas is through the roof and Oldsmobile no longer exists, however, the  Sheldrake brothers are still going strong with 13 Polly’s Pies locations. A public celebration marking the 50th anniversary of Polly’s Pies in Long Beach will take place starting at 4 p.m. on February 23 through February 27.The first 200…

Goodwill of Orange County just opened its newly relocated Bristol Warner Marketplace location in Santa Ana. The new 9,871 square-foot store offers customers an elevated shopping experience and a one-of-a-kind assortment of clothing for all ages, accessories, home décor, electronics, furniture, and more.
