We Care Wednesday Clothing Drive

August 07, 2019

Goodwill of Orange County and the OC Fair have again joined forces for a special We Care Wednesday clothing drive on August 7. From noon to 3 p.m., guests who bring five new or gently used clothing items to the OC Fair for donation to Goodwill of Orange County will receive same-day free admission and one free carnival ride per person.

The money raised from reselling the goods collected at the OC Fair has made a huge impact on Goodwill’s ability to connect unemployed or underemployed individuals, no matter the challenge or disability, with meaningful job opportunities. In other words, the donations collected on We Care Wednesday every year help those with barriers to employment find purpose, pride, and dignity.

The power of these donated goods is greater than you think. Donating five coats or jackets allows someone in the community to receive access to more than 1 hour of job placement support. Every t-shirt, dress, scarf and clothing item donated funds additional minutes of training for people with disabilities, veterans and others who are trying to enhance their lives.

OC Fair & Event Center is at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa. *Donations can be made at any public entry gate. *Five clothing items per person required.
