UCI MIND Presents: Distinguished Lecture on the Brain
On Tuesday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. you’re invited to attend ’s 2019 Distinguished Lecture on the Brain, “Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease in the Era of Biomarkers,” with guest speaker, Director of the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging.
Dr. Petersen is an esteemed neurologist and international leader in the field of Alzheimer’s disease research.
Dr. Petersen served as the personal neurologist to former President Ronald Regan and has authored more than 700 peer-reviewed journal articles and five books on memory disorders.
During this informative lecture, Dr. Petersen will discuss biomarkers, objective biological measures that are rapidly advancing the field of Alzheimer’s research and may someday be used to identify people at risk for Alzheimer’s disease who may benefit from early intervention to prevent or delay the onset of memory problems. He will also address questions from the audience.
