The Old Man and the Sea Legs

What could be better than a Father’s Day brunch near the beach paired with craft beer? You can treat dad to  a 3-course meal and bottomless craft beer on draft on Sunday for $45 at SeaLegs Wine Bar in Huntington Beach.

The meal offers a variety of delicious choices. First course select from seared scallop with peach bourbon gastrique; chipotle deviled eggs; and Baby kale salad with apples, raisins, pickled onions, shaved Parmesan and sautéed spinach. Second course choices include BBQ ribs slow roasted with housemade BBQ sauce, SeaLegs mac n’ cheese,and sautéed kale; rib eye with baked bean casserole; cornish game hen grilled with sweet potato puree and sautéed spinach; and grilled halibut with sautéed arugula, patty pan squash, asparagus, heirloom grape tomatoes, and grilled lemon.

Third course choose from beignets with Nutella whipped cream; Elvis’ French toast housemade brioche, bananas, peanut butter, French vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce; and Mississippi mud cake with housemade marshmallow

Open 4 to 11:30 p.m. Monday to Friday 4 p.m.; happy hour 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; 5 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.  (Champagne Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., regular dinner menu after 3 p.m. on Sundays)

Celebrating 20 years of WHW

Everyone is invited to celebrate Women Helping Women’s 20 year anniversary on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its headquarters in Santa Ana. The event will feature music, an all American barbecue, blasts from the past, and 20 inspiring client stories.

The mission of WHW is to provide comprehensive employment support services to empower disadvantaged men, women and teens to achieve economic self-sufficiency through employment success.
