Tesla Zooms Into Fashion Island

November 18, 2011

Tonight, California-based Tesla Motors store opens the doors of a new showroom at Fashion Island from 5 to 9 p.m. The innovative car company, known for its electric supercar, will be unveiling the beta version of Tesla’s premium sedan, Model S, due out mid- 2012.

The Model S seats five adults and two children and offers three battery packs with a 160-, 230- or 300-mile range. Any conventional outlet can charge the car, and there’s a fast charge option that takes just 45 minutes. Since there is not an internal combustion engine or transmission tunnel, the interior of the car has optimal cargo space. There's even a trunk under the hood. High-tech fans will also appreciate the 17-inch touchscreen for radio, web access and navigation.

Tesla is near Macy's and Traditional Jewelers) at Fashion Island.

Thankful for AnQi!

Thanksgiving at AnQi Bistro For years, Crustacean Beverly Hills has offered a take-out Thanksgiving feast to its Los Angeles patrons that’s as delicious as it looks, and now for the first time AnQi Bistro by Crustacean at South Coast Plaza is making OC foodies swoon by doing the same.

The Asian-inspired meal includes turkey, stuffing, side dishes and desserts is a great value and is as tasty (or even better) than home cooking. (A 12 to 14 pound bird costs $95, and serves approximately eight guests.)

At Anqi choose from Tiato citrus herb brined free range turkey served with roasted garlic turkey gravy, as well as Mama’s original stuffing choices like turkey-apple sausage and leek, Mama’s sticky rice with shiitake mushroom, Chinese sausage and chestnuts; or gluten free bread, caramelized onions, herb stuffing.

A dozen of creative a la carte side dishes include Kale roasted beets and arugula cranberry salad, decadent crème fraiche mashed potatoes and even An’s famous garlic noodles. Let them provide dessert too, choose from pumpkin or pecan pie, pecan German chocolate cake or five spice chocolate pudding.

AnQi by Crustacean is adjacent to Bloomingdale’s at South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bristol Street in Costa Mesa.  714. 557.5679.
