Sunday Brunch at the Garden

Café Jardin at Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona del Mar just debuted its seasonal Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. served outdoors near the flower gardens. Chef/owner Pascal Olhats and Chef du Cuisine Israel Rivera created a savory four-course menu for $35 per person that starts with assorted hors d’hoeuvres such as tomato tarts, onion tarts, mini quiches, and a mix of olives; and then your choice of a beet salad with herb feta cheese, roasted hazelnuts, and lemon vinaigrette; or Pascal’s homemade pâté plate with country pâté with onion marmalade and condiments; vichyssoise with chilled potato leek soup; or smoked salmon and smoked herring plate cucumber dill sauce and toasts.

Third course choices include eggs Benedict croissant with ratatouille, asparagus with béarnaise; or  grilled Irish salmon with lemon caper sauce, mashed potatoes; or homemade vegetarian lasagna with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce; roasted chicken breast with sweet garlic and caper sauce, herb gnocchi; and grilled flat iron steak on toasted whole wheat bread, kale salad and Béarnaise sauce. Lastly, dessert choices include assorted mini pastries and chocolate mousse.

Cost is $35.00 per person (plus tax and gratuity) includes orange juice, iced tea, or coffee and endless Champagne cost is $15.

Lunch menu is available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; Sunday brunch menu from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and high tea the last Wednesday of every month. 2647 East Coast Highway in Corona Del Mar. 949.673.0033.
