Sandwiches galore

March 16, 2010

There’s nothing like the quintessential sandwich to make for a solid lunch. At The Sandwich Box in Tustin, there are 30-some kinds of tasty sandwiches to mull over, from specialty submarine-style selections like The Cuban (roasted pork, ham, pickles and swiss cheese), The Texan (roasted pork or beef slathered in BBQ sauce) and The Southern (ham, swiss cheese and fried green tomatoes) to classic favorites like The Italian (thinly sliced ham, cotto dry salami, mortadella, provolone, tomatoes and pepperocinis with balsamic vinaigrette), pastrami and turkey, all of which are served on soft white bread rolls.

Psst ... definitely try The Southern—the tart green tomatoes are lightly coated in breadcrumbs and fried, providing a punch of tangy flavor to the shaved ham in the sandwich.
