Rollin’ In the Sweets

December 14, 2018

Orange County's first Thai-style rolled ice cream shop, Rollin’ Creamery will celebrate the grand opening of its second location in Westminster on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. Its original location is in Fountain Valley. Enjoy free ice cream for the first 25 and a free drink for the first 100 guests.

The rolled ice cream is a tricky endeavor to make and fun to watch. The ice cream mixture is poured onto an ultra-cold pan, and then when it forms into ice cream, it’s rolled into sections. The entire process takes just about four minutes. Each rolled ice cream is made to order. You can choose from about ten flavors, and toppings such as cookies, candy, and sweet sauces.

Just for the holidays, you can choose from peppermint ice cream mixed with a holiday Oreo red sprinkles and a snowman marshmallow, topped with a candy cane; holiday Oreo and a snowman marshmallow with green Thai tea; Cookie butter: cookie butter ice cream topped with Reese’s crumbs and a reindeer Nutter Butter. We love the Frozen hot coco: frozen hot coco ice cream topped with coco powder, chocolate syrup, holiday sprinkles, hot coco candy cane, and a chocolate marshmallow reindeer.

Stop by Tuesdays for rolled ice cream tacos! Drinks choices include Strawberry Lemonade, Green Thai Tea and their classic Thai Tea.

Open noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

9938 Bolsa Ave. in Westminster.

17908 1/2 Magnolia St. in Fountain Valley.
