Last Chance to Say Goodbye to Original Pizza

January 16, 2017

It’s hard to believe that after 53 years, Original Pizza in Newport Beach is closing on Jan. 31 and becoming a Taco Bell concept. It was a favorite local landmark restaurant since the early '60s. It will be missed.

You can say your goodbyes and attend a going away party like no other—complete with an outdoor stage, four bands, beer and pizza on Saturday, January 28 from noon to 6 p.m.

A portion of all proceeds will go towards the Environmental Nature Center Preschool Fund, The T-1 Diabetes fund for kids, and the Newport Beach Film Festival

There will be a Back Alley Big Show celebration with Original Pizza, beer from your favorite breweries, and entertainment from The Swingin’ Tikis, Electric Cool-Aide and Critens, and more to come.

Tickets cost $25 per person. You can purchase them here and pick up it up at Original Pizza on Jan. 28.

2121 W. Balboa Blvd. in Newport Beach.

Original Pizza II is still in business at 2675 Irvine Ave. in Costa Mesa.
