Laguna Beach Fete de la Musique

June 17, 2016

Fête de la Musique is a day of celebrating summer and music all over France, and since Laguna Beach is a sister city to Menton, France, it’s holding it’s own festival throughout downtown Laguna Beach on Saturday, June 18.

The 9th annual Fête de la Musique in Laguna Beach starts at 12 p.m., with music provided by the Swing Set Band on the cobblestones at Main Beach. Opening ceremonies start at 1 p.m. with both the U.S. and French National Anthems performed, continuing performances at Main Beach by the Swing Set Band, JJ and the Habibis (Laguna Beach’s belly dancers); and the Agave Bros., who will share their danceable rock on the cobblestones from 2:30-4 p.m. and during closing ceremonies.

Artists will be performing at 35 locations in a variety of music genres from 1:30-4 p.m. Closing ceremonies at Main Beach begin at 4 p.m. The event is free and presented by the Laguna Beach Sister Cities Association.
