La Buena Nocha and the Mesa Gala NYE

December 20, 2016

Looking for a chic and delicious spot for Christmas Eve dinner or a stylish New Year’s Eve gala like no other? Look no further than MESA at the Camp in Costa Mesa. Executive chef Niki Starr Weyler who has worked in some of the best kitchens in OC, including French 75, Charlie Palmer’s and Broadway by Amar Santana has created La Buena Nocha, a special Christmas Eve dinner menu featuring the season’s best tastes and paired with some of the best cocktails in OC.

You can choose from Jamon, Queso y Chorizo with thinly sliced prosciutto, Manchego cheese, Spanish cured chorizo and baguette; or Langostinos con Salsa Rosa--prawns served head on and served with a pink sauce and romesco sauce; Esparragos blancos, lightly grilled white asparagus with Spanish olive oil and lemon.

The salad course is Ensalata de endibia con vinagreta, an endive salad with tomato beet vinaigrette, Spanish olives, feta cheese and hard boiled egg atop crispy tortilla. One of our favorite dishes, the Arrachera is a grilled marinated skirt steak with chimmichurri emulsion and calabrian chili hot sauce. For dessert, you can enjoy Churros con caliente chocolate, house made churros with Mexican hot chocolate; or Buñuelos con horchata helado, crispy fried flour tortillas with cinnamon and sugar.
