Huntington Downtown A Fun and Festive Week

June 17, 2015

It’s a busy and fun week in Huntington Beach Downtown. Starting with the HB Downtown Art Walk on Thursday, June 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. You can come out and check out artists located in locations throughout the downtown--from Orange St., down Main St., and all the way to The Strand.

HB Downtown Art Walk is held every third Thursday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m. Art work is available for purchase.

On Saturday, June 20  from 9 a.m. to noon, it’s the Epic Big Board Ride where participants will try to break the Guinness World Records for "Most People Riding a Surfboard at Once." A custom made 42-foot long surfboard dubbed the “World’s Largest Surfboard” will be at the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier.

Following the epic attempt to break the Guinness World Records, there’s the tasty event—8th annual Chili at the Beach- from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s the HB Downtown contest for the best chili in the community. Come out and help crown the winner. Since it’s Father's Day Weekend, you can also shop from vendors geared to fathers. Live music and entertainment will make it a festive day.

Purchase tickets online at hbdowntown.com for chili tasting. Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the event.
