Gala in The Grove

May 19, 2016

You can join an evening not to be missed that will honor the lives of the incredible children, families, physicians and staff of CHOC. The Glass Slipper Guild, dedicated to supporting CHOC Children’s, will host a nostalgic evening in honor of the Guild’s 22nd anniversary with “Gala in the Grove – a Night in Vintage Orange County,” on Saturday, May 21st at the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach.

Upon arrival guests will enter the Orange Grove Bar for a cocktail reception and Silent Auction. From there, guests will be ushered to the main ballroom which will be transformed into a vintage aromatic orange grove, paying tribute to the history of Orange County. Guest will enjoy a gourmet dinner and dessert, along with entertainment which includes a thrilling live auction and culminates with dancing the night away with performance and DJ set by Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas.

Gala proceeds will help complete the guild’s new $1 million pledge to the Hyundai Cancer Institute at CHOC and the hospital’s integrative health services. Ranked one of the best cancer programs by U.S. News & World Report, The Cancer Institute specializes in providing patients – from infants through young adults – with the latest pediatric cancer treatments by nationally recognized medical specialists, in addition to addressing the emotional and spiritual needs of the child.
