FIG & OLIVE NEWPORT BEACH CELEBRATES FALL

October 27, 2015

The best of fall’s seasonal offerings take center stage in Fig & Olive’s new lunch and dinner menus featuring three new signature Crostinis (Gorgonzola, Apple, Red Marmalade Crostini), as well as appetizers, salads and entrées including Fall Vegetables Linguini – traditional linguine flavored with artichokes, sautéed cremini mushrooms, radicchio, red onions, pine nuts, parmesan, lemon zest, and artichoke cremini mushroom purée and delicious Poached Pears in Spiced Orange Juice for dessert.

All dishes are complemented by founder, Laurent Halasz’s hand-picked selection of Spanish, French, and Tuscan olive oils (available in the restaurant and online).

You can also choose entrées such as a silky Butternut Squash & Chestnut Velouté with shaved chestnuts, onions, toasted squash seeds, and a drizzle of Arbequina olive oil; or Sea Scallops, crisply seared over roasted cauliflower purée, finished with cauliflower semolina, slivered almonds, cilantro, roasted almond oil, and citrus dressing; and Riviera Salmon with braised endives, sautéed broccolini, smooth cauliflower purée, and garlic bagna cauda.

For dessert, try the delicious and rich, Chestnut Mousse with Amarena Cherry, a smooth chestnut espuma mousse, walnut meringue, candied walnuts, cherry sorbet, Amarena cherry coulis, and mint.

Lunch is served daily from 12 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday; dinner is served from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday; 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday; 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Thursday; and 4 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
