Farm To Box Asian Street Food

January 25, 2017

Asian Box Irvine celebrates its grand opening today with a benefit--100% of sales will benefit Wounded Warrior Project that works to foster a successful and well-adjusted generation of wounded service members.

Asian Box is a fine-casual dining destination that features authentic Asian street food created with sustainable and local ingredients using traditional methods and recipes from culinary director Chad Newton and executive chef Grace Nguyen. You can feel good about eating here; there are no hormones, antibiotics and pesticides—produce is always sustainable grown and harvested. The kitchen doesn’t use woks or fryers and everything is gluten free.

The ordering system is pretty straightforward; you choose a base: brown rice, jasmine rice, Asian salad or chilled rice noodles; then a protein: chicken (six sprice blend), pork (lemongrass marinated), beef (garlic and soy glazed), tofu (coconut curry), or shrimp (lime basil tossed). And then you choose your toppings: fresh bean sprouts, pickled vegetables, fresh jalapeno, scallion oil, crispy shallots, chopped peanuts, fresh herbs and fresh lime squeeze.

The sauce selections include: tamarind vegetable, Miss Jones Sriracha, no-oil fish sauce, and Asian Street Dust. There are also four chef signature boxes, sides and salads: tofu spring rolls, shrimp spring rolls, and seasonal salads; and delicious and different drinks such as lemon-lime marmalade, Vietnamese Chicory iced coffee, and Numi Box Blend Iced tea.

With locations in Palo Alto, San Francisco’s Union Square, Mountain View, Downtown Los Angeles, and now Irvine, Asian Box is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
