Eat. See. Be Seen. Hoag Summer Movie Classic

The Hoag Summer Movie Classic returns for the 27th year on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Hangar at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. The annual food and film event, hosted by the Hoag Hospital Foundation and its 552 Club, serves up culinary masterpieces from over 30 of Orange County’s finest restaurants, along with live entertainment followed by a showing of the film “Gravity.”

The restaurants will be serving everything from ceviche shooters to creative tacos and sliders, to freshly brewed specialty coffee and decadent desserts. Each restaurant donates their time and talent to this event, raising funds and friends for Hoag.

The Summer Movie Classic has raised more than $2 million dollars since its inception in 1988. The event also features a raffle that includes gift packages from participating restaurants and a grand prize of a one-year-lease for a BMW 428i Coupe, courtesy of Sterling BMW in Newport Beach.

A partial list of participating restaurants include A Restaurant, Red O, Sol Cocina, Pitfire Artisan Pizza, Antonello Ristorante & Enoteca Lounge, Nello Cucina, Quattro Caffé, Bear Flag Fish Co., Blackmarket Bakery, Boudin Bakery, Café 538, Caliente, The Counter, DP Catering, Orange Coast Winery, Blue Water Grill, Ho Sum Bistro, Kéan Coffee, Newport Landing, Harborside, Picante Martin’s, Royal Thai Cuisine, Muldoon’s Irish Pub, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, Santa Monica Seafood, Straub Distributing, Turnip Rose, 24 Carrots, Gabbi’s Mexican Kitchen, Newport Rib Company,  and more. 

Individual tickets cost $125 and include food, beverage and film
