Forget about Black Friday, SoCo has all your shopping needs covered! From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, all your holiday shopping wishes will come true with special discounts, holiday beverages, yummy hors d’oeuvres and festive activities at the best boutiques in OC!

There’s nothing else like the OC Mart MIX in Orange County and under its amazing roof, join in on the fun with a holiday party from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Get your holiday photo taken and enjoy delicious appetizers and holiday drinks while discovering the very best gift ideas for those you love. OC Mart MIX will also be hosting a raffle and holiday activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Meanwhile, for the outdoor adventurers on your nice list, join Gear Co-op in the courtyard to learn about slacklining. Similar to tightrope walking, come see Pro Slackliners from Gibbon Slacklines perform and try it for yourself. The pros will remain on hand to give you tips and tricks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you want a few extra hours of sleep, stop by Fixtures Living beginning at 11 a.m. for a holiday cookie decorating class! And don’t forget to share the magic of the holiday season by bringing an unwrapped toy to place under the tree at Pal + Smith to give to charity. Plus, live holiday music is sure to get you into the holiday spirit from 12 to 3 p.m.

The day will be full of all kinds of holiday fun with an ornament workshop, tree decorating tips, carolers and prizes galore.

Sculpture Popping!

Orange County: Modern and Contemporary SculptureEver wonder how some of the iconic sculptures in South Coast Metro area came about? Now on display in a pop-up gallery in the South Coast Plaza Penthouse, come explore the fascinating process from concept to construction for 13 remarkable works in the corridor between Segerstrom Center for the Arts and South Coast Plaza.

Orange County: Modern and Contemporary Sculpture includes conceptual sketches, blueprints and models, as well as finished sculptures. You can take a stroll down the coridoor with new eyes and during the run of the exhibit, Alexander Calder’s mobile Pekin will be on display inside the exhibition gallery.

The exhibit is free and is open from 12 to 6 p.m. daily until Jan. 2.
