Closing Night at NB Film Fest

April 29, 2019

The Newport Beach Film Festival will end its eight-day run with the West Coast premiere of Part Of Water on Thursday, May 2, at 8 p.m. at the Lido Theater and  Via Lido Plaza in Newport Beach. Following the screening, the Newport Beach Film Festival, in partnership with Fritz Duda, Ben Carlson Memorial & Scholarship Foundation and Visit Newport Beach, will host the Closing Night Celebration at Via Lido Plaza.

The 21 + over outdoor party will feature a hosted bar by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Peroni, Korbel Champagne, Capeline, Guinness and Babes Brewery & BBQ. Come hungry and enjoy culinary tastings from Orange County’s premier restaurants, including Descanso, Avanti Natural, Dear Mama LA and Bluewater Grill.

Part of Water tells the tragic story of fallen lifeguard, Ben Carlson, who lost his life in the line of duty while on a rescue during a massive swell in 2014. Through Ben’s story, Part of Water sheds light on the countless dangers that ocean lifeguards face and earning the respect they’ve always deserved.

Tickets to the Closing Night Film and Celebration are $95 and can be purchased in advance at the Festival’s website. The minimum age for guests is 21 years old.

Passes and tickets for film screenings, galas, and special events are available online at NewportBeachFilmFest.com.
