SEA OF PINK DESCENDS ON NEWPORT DUNES

April 29, 2019

The 8th annual Standup for the Cure fundraiser will return to Newport Beach on Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to support local breast health screening services and research provided by Susan G. Komen Orange County. Over 1,000 breast cancer survivors, advocates, and community members will form a “Sea of Pink” at Newport Dunes as they paddle out to raise awareness for Komen OC’s initiatives to create a world without breast cancer through advocacy programs, community outreach, care and research.

The event will feature on-land and off-land activities including yoga classes, relay races, paddleboard clinics, live music, raffles and more. During the event, attendees are also encouraged to visit the free breast cancer screening clinic provided by Kaiser Permanente.

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort is at 1131 Back Bay Dr. in Newport Beach.
