BACKHAUSDANCE AN EVENING OF WORLD PREMIERES AND FAVORITES
Backhausdance just completed a milestone 15th anniversary season that included its first European tour and an engagement at the internationally renowned Joyce Theater in New York. This season, Orange County’s critically acclaimed contemporary dance company launches its 16th season November 2 and 3 with a program of world premieres and company favorites at the Martha B. Knoebel Dance Theater in Long Beach.
The program will feature two signature works, “Hive” and “The Margin,” by Backhausdance Artistic Director Jennifer Backhaus that emphasize the company's ensemble aesthetic and lush movement vocabulary. The company will also perform two world premieres by internationally renowned guest choreographers Mauro Astolfi of Italy and Jhonathan Soutchy of Israel.
Tickets are $60 for premium seats, $40 for adults and $20 for students. Performances are Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit Backhausdance.org.
