A Picture Perfect Education

August 21, 2012

Join us on for our third annual Educating Jack and Milly-A Picture Perfect Beginning event Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at one of our favorite art galleries, The District Art Gallery in Tustin.

In 2010, I met Jack and Milly in a small village in Western Kenya and have, with the help of generous supporters, been able to enroll them in universities in Nairobi, Kenya. You can help change the lives of Jack and Milly by attending this art show featuring photographs that I took in Kenya. They’re about to enter their third year in college next month and need more monies to continue their education. Milly is earning a degree in marketing and would like to own her own business, and Jack is earning a degree in broadcast journalism.

Any proceeds from the sales of the photographs or donations will allow them and their families to escape a life of poverty as they currently live on less than a $1 a day in a small village without electricity or running water.

The District Art Gallery is at 2477 Park Avenue in Tustin. 424.645.4161.
