Weekend: Fave Foodie Week in OC!

Foodies will love the return of Orange County Restaurant Week that’s launching Sunday through Saturday, March 5.  To keep it even more special, they capped off the restaurants this year to 100. Prix fixed menus will be set at $10, $15 and $20 per person for lunch, and $20, $30 or $40 per person for dinner. You can search for your favorite restaurant by city, and see the entire list here.

The District at Tustin Legacy is hosting a kick-off event Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. with complimentary samples of appetizers and cocktails as well as live music performances on two stages. Participating District restaurants will also be debuting their prix fix specials a day early. The District is at Jamboree Road and Barranca Parkway in Tustin.

Mentoring USA

Both stores are hosting a fun-weekend event for Mentoring USA, a non-profit dedicated to creating positive and supportive mentoring relationships for at-risk youths.

Supper Club!

Supper ClubThe Island Hotel’s Palm Terrace Lounge debuts a lively and tasty supper club starting Friday and continuing every Friday night, with a live “Up Close and Personal” performance by Jimmy Hopper and his band while guests enjoy a three-course dinner prepared by one our favorite local chefs, Bill Bracken. Dinner seating begins at 6:30 p.m.; the music starts at 8 p.m. The meal start with a tower of seafood and a glass of Champagne; then you can choose between a roasted prime rib with herbed potatoes, broccolini and au jus; pan-seared red fish with organic vegetables in lobster meuniere butter or roasted breast of chicken with barley risotto in madeira sauce. And lastly enjoy pastry chef Michael Owens’ incredible small bite desserts. The supper club cost is $65 per person. 949.760.4920. Free Rock Preview!

Rock of AgesWant a free preview of the Broadway hit musical "Rock of Ages"? Head on over to South Coast Plaza today at 1 p.m. and see live performances in Jewel Court. The musical comedy is about a rocker and small town girl who fall in love to the greatest arena-rock anthems and power ballads of the 80s, including Journey, Poison, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi and many more. Rock of Ages will be at Segerstrom Center for the Arts March 1-6. After the show, cast members sign autographs. There will be ticket giveaways to see Rock of Ages too!
