Valentine’s Dining on the Sand
The Beachcomber is a hidden gem in Orange County. The historic cottage transformed into a coastal cuisine restaurant at Crystal Cove State Park on the Newport Coast boasts an open air deck and incredible oceanfront views on the sand. It’s hard to beat the location and it’s also the perfect place to celebrate your loved one on Valentine’s Day.
On February, 14 you can enjoy an exclusive four-course fixed menu with 10 dishes meant to reflect and inspire coastal romance under the stars. The First Course is an Alaskan King Salmon Tartare with yuzu vinaigrette, lemon caviar and salmon skin crostini or Baked Brie Crostini with pears, asparagus, cranberries, pecans and mache.
The Second Course is Kale & Kabocha Squash Salad with kale and red leaf, salty marcona almonds, bleu cheese and passion fruit vinaigrette or Lobster Bisque with pernod cream, garlic crouton and tarragon oil.
Entrée choices include Surf & Turf with filet mignon, jumbo shrimp, potato puree, asparagus and au jus; Chilean Sea Bass with forbidden rice, passion frui beurre blanc, baby bok choy and mache salad; Roasted Lamb with forest mushroom risotto and peperonata; or Jidori Chicken with braised swiss chard, carmelized shallots, red cabbage puree and brandy mustard cream sauce.
Desserts choices include Chocolate Cake served with raspberry coulis, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate mousse or Passion Fuit Créme Brulee topped with chocolate covered strawberries and berry compote.
This Valentine’s Day fixed four-course menu is $95 per person and available from 4 to 9 p.m. on the evening of February 14. Limited reservations are available online and via OpenTable.
