Two OC Food Trucks Go Brick and Mortar
Two of OC’s favorite food trucks--The Burnt Truck and Dogzilla--have joined forces to open their first brick & mortar location at Walnut Village Center in Irvine. Burntzilla Modern Eats serves nostalgic American comfort foods with a modern spin, so there’s fried chicken sliders, cheeseburger sliders, mini-hotdogs, carne asada, the best tater tots you’ve ever tasted, mini-ice cream sandwiches and everything on the menu is under $5.
The best part is everything is made from scratch--except for the rolls for the sliders, those are King’s Hawaiian and Heinz ketchup.
Join Burntzilla for its grand opening on Sunday, March 29 with free food and beverages from 10 a.m. to noon; a balloon-animal artist and a magician for the kids from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You can enter a raffle contest to win a 55-inch LG TV. Customers receive a raffle ticket for every $10 of food & drink purchased all day at the eatery. Winner will be selected and contacted the following day.
And, a portion of proceeds from the day’s sales will go toward the Irvine Public School Foundation, so the you can do good while you eat, too!
Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
