Tiffany & Co. The Blue Book

May 23, 2016

Easily the most stunning collection of the year is the Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book, entitled The Art of Transformation that explores the beauty of nature and symbolizes the company’s unparalleled design heritage.

The first Blue Book was introduced in 1845--it's an annual showcase of Tiffany & Co.’s finest craftsmanship and inspired artistry. The 2016 collection was realized by design director Francesca Amfitheatrof, who created the stunning collection made with the finest white and colored diamonds and colored gemstones--- tanzanites, tourmalines, aquamarines, sapphires and more in fluid designs with invisible settings that effortlessly mimic nature.

The bib necklace (above) in platinum with round brilliant diamond features 3,000 diamonds that softly ripple over the surface just like water touched by wind. Highly skilled artisans held the design together with 10,000 connections that maximize movement and light.

The Blue Book collection was just showcased at South Coast Plaza for a limited time, and you can view it here.

The collection includes a bracelet of interwoven diamond ribbons, offset by the subtle sea and sky shades of tanzanites, aquamarines and tourmalines; a starfish trio cuff; a fancy yellow diamond cuff;  a rubellite starburst brooch in platinum with rubellites and diamonds; and much more.
