The PigOut is Back!
Come out to experience an epic pig-centric food fest on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the California Scenario in Costa Mesa. Thanks to Bobby Navarro of 100eats100days fame, who championed this PigOut (among other events),15 of OC’s most respected chefs, 10 renowned bartenders and one ticket will get you unlimited tastes and parking.
Each chef will be creating a striking pork dish, and offer tastes for the PigOut.
Participating restaurants include Broadway by Amar Santana, Juliette’s Kitchen and Bar, A Restaurant, The Attic on Broadway, Hopscotch, Pizzeria Mozza, The Cheese Shop, Arc Kitchen and Bar, Little Sparrow Cafe, The Cannery, and The Haven Collective, with a sweet treat from Valenza Chocolatier.
Craft cocktails will be paired with the dishes from bartenders of Broadway by Amar Santana, Juliette’s Kitchen and Bar, Napa Rose, 320 Main, Arc Kitchen and Bar, The Playground, Pie Society and more.
A collection of fine spirits will be raffled off, and a silent auction will help contribute to the efforts of Inspire Artistic Minds.

For a $75 pre-pay ticket, or $100 at the door, you’ll get, all you can pig out on; piggy items from the area’s most celebrated chefs, cocktails, music, silent auction, raffling a liquor cabinet start-up kit. Parking included.
For a VIP Experience, a $100 pre-pay ticket, or $125 at the door you can experience all of the above, plus an hour early cocktail reception (2 to 3 p.m.) to allow you to mingle with the chefs (no food will be available at this time); an entry into the raffle of the liquor cabinet start up kit; and a special gift.
PigOut will be at California Scenario (Noguchi Garden) is at 611 Anton Blvd. in Costa Mesa.
Elephants on Parade
Prior to being displayed throughout Dana Point for a ten-week art exhibition, 30 life-size elephant sculptures will make their debut Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at an event in celebration of Elephant Parade: Welcome to America at Doheny State Beach. There will also be music and artists available to discuss their elephants and presentations. Local food trucks will be on site too.
On Sunday,. the event will continue with education and information booths; and Elephant Parade Art Box for sale and kids can create their own mini Mosha elephant
Elephant Parade is an international effort to bring awareness to the endangered Asian Elephants. A few renowned artists who painted the elephants include Chor Boogie, Mumbai jewelry designer Mira Gulati and pin-up artist Olivia DeBeradinis.
Elephant Parade has raised more than $5 million for Asian elephant conservation and approximately 8 million people around the world have seen the expositions.
