The Peninsula Lounge Revamps Menu & Launches Peninsula Lifestyle Events
Peninsula Lounge has an entirely revamped menu for fall featuring dishes from Consulting Corporate Chef Leandro Bongarra and new restaurant Executive Chef Kosetsu Taguchi.
New dishes include Oysters with Sudanese hibiscus, Bombay Sapphire Gelee, and atomic horseradish; Kaarage Fried Chicken Sandwich on brioche with lemon cilantro cabbage and togarashi aioli; Pan-Seared Pub Steak with chimichurri, black garlic, and herb butter; and more.
Chef Kosetu Taguchi, Peninsula Lounge Executive Chef, has more than 13 years working in restaurants and hospitality ranging from banquets to fine dining. His most recent positions include Executive Chef / Executive Sous Chef of Saline Restaurant at the Hotel Joaquin in Laguna Beach (2018-2020); line cook at Anzen Syokodo Ramen in Fukuoka, Japan (2017-2018); and Sous Chef at The Resort at Pelican Hill (2015-2017). He also has cooking experience at the Hotel Bel Air and Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles, and The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel.
Chef Leandro Bonnarga, Consulting Corporate Chef, oversees the kitchen at the Peninsula Lounge, as well as the restaurant group’s upcoming project Tango Wine Bar in Laguna Beach. His most recent positions include: Executive Chef of SalineRestaurant at the Hotel Joaquin in Laguna Beach (2018-2020); Executive Chef of
Baleen Restaurant at Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach; and Executive Chef of the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood (2014-2015).

The restaurant—which opened in June 2020—has undergone a series of renovations across the entirety of the 5,500 sq. ft. space which includes 2 floors each with a full bar; private and open dining downstairs; plus a full bar, restaurant, and outdoor patio upstairs. An outdoor activity area in front of the restaurant hosts day parties, games, and DJs.

The Peninsula Lounge offers 2 Yachts (90 foot. Azimut and 70 foot Pacific Mariner) for rent. The venue also has a fleet of pontoons, electric boats, kayaks, and paddleboards.
