Summer Nights Jazz Series

July 12, 2016

The Summer Nights Jazz Series returns on Thursday, July 14 at the Casino San Clemente. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with performances starting at 7:30 p.m.

Ellie’s Table at North Beach will host a cash bar serving soft drinks as well as choice beers and wine. Tickets are $7 each online here, or $10/each at the door the night of each performance.

For the inaugural night an incredible assemblage of jazz notables include: Ramon Banda, of the Banda Brothers, on drums; guitarist Steve Cotter, of the Steve Tyrell band; and Jeff Littleton appears on bass.

San Clemente proudly welcomes its own Elizabeth Lamers as featured vocalist on Thursday. Having performed internationally as well as more locally at the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theater, Elizabeth served as back up singer to Linda Ronstadt and K.D. Lang among others. The Casino San Clemente honors Elizabeth as an award winning songwriter in her own right.

The series will continue twice monthly on alternating Thursdays, July 14 & 28; August 11 & 25; September 8 & 22.

The performance on July 28 will feature Tim Gill and the Gin Mill Grifters, a dynamic 6-piece ensemble specializing in hot jazz and early swing music of the 1920's and 1930's with salutes to Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller.

Tickets for all performances are available in advance online at casinosummernights.brownpapertickets.com
