SUGARSGONE ONLINE LUXE Handbags on CONSIGNMENT

June 24, 2015

Today, Irvine-based SugarsGone, a startup online consignment marketplace for luxury handbags is celebrating its soft launch at 6:30 p.m. Co-founded by Jennifer Bell and Henri Duong, SugarsGone is on a mission to offer buyers a place to purchase authentic handbags at just a fraction of the price, while donating to charity.

SugarsGone will donate 5% of their gross sales to both the National Domestic Abuse Hotline and Orange County’s The Teen Project dedicated to providing teens aging out of the foster care system with the tools they need to become self-sustaining adults. SugarsGone will offer buyers pre-love bags ranging from brands like Celine, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, and more.

“My passion for fashion and my background in luxury retail and venture capital have found their perfect expression in SugarsGone,” says Jennifer Bell, the company’s co-Founder and CEO, whose previous career included 15 years in retail management for Nordstrom, Neiman-Marcus and Chanel, as well as tenure at venture capital firm, Sail Venture Capital. “Together with my business partner and tech expert Henri Duong, we’ve designed a revolutionary new site that connects handbag enthusiasts in engaging e-commerce, conversation and community - with an added layer of meaning and purpose, as we donate five percent of our profits to charity.”
