SOCO + THE OC MIX WELCOMES NEW TENANTS

July 20, 2021

Good news for avid shoppers, beauty gurus, and foodies alike – SOCO and The OC Mix is welcoming five exciting new shops and restaurants to their mix of tenants.

The center has announced the addition of H. Alora, the latest luxury mattress concept showroom; Whimsical Charm, a luxury baby boutique selling one-of-a-kind robes, soft blankets, and swaddles; The G Bar, a beauty studio specializing in eyelash extensions and semi-permanent makeup; Butcher’s House Brasserie, a brand-new eatery blending modern and traditional French style cuisines; and Poggenpohl, the oldest kitchen brand in the world specializing in kitchen cabinets, which has opened inside the BoConcept showroom.

H. Alora, an ultra-luxe mattress and linen store, is opening at SOCO in late July in a temporary space, before moving into its new permanent location at the center later this Fall.  With mattresses ranging from $7,000 to $120,000, H. Alora will feature high-end brands such as Vispring and Harrison Spinks.  The latter, which the showroom will be introducing for the first time in the U.S., will serve as the luxury British brand’s official North American flagship store.  Offerings will also include the finest linens and essentials from extremely established businesses in the luxury linen market – SDH, SFERRA, and Peacock Alley.  Ronnie Lane, Founder and CEO of H. Alora, has two additional luxury mattress stores in Southern California with their own unique business models – Hadley Olivia, located in San Juan Capistrano, and Vispring Los Angeles, located in Beverly Hills.

Whimsical Charm This women-owned and locally manufactured baby boutique creates uniquely designed and personalized baby blankets, fun robes, and unique gifts for toddlers – perfect for providing children with both comfort and style.  In addition to creating high-quality products, Rosie Arias – founder and creative director of Whimsical Charm – uses her San Pedro location as a worksite for youth in underserved communities, providing them with work experience in all aspects of retail, wholesale, and trade.

The G Bar is a sophisticated lash and brow beauty studio.  The OC Mix is home to its second location.  Specializing in eyelash extensions and semi-permanent makeup, The G Bar philosophy is built on customizable application techniques – offering relentless individuality, exclusive skill sets, and a serene environment.  Services range from eyelash extensions, lash and brow tints & lifts and waxing, to microblading and semi-permanent makeup.

French-inspired Butcher’s House Brassiere is a family-style, full-service eatery that will offer a modernized menu blended with traditional dishes.  The restaurant is expected to open by the end of 2021.  The concept comes from owner Jeoffrey Offers, a previous chef at the beloved boutique French restaurant chain, Moulin, who was inspired to create a restaurant of his own that reflected his childhood back in France.  This butchery will include traditional wood fire-grilled meats and plans to serve beer and wine.

BoConcept is excited to announce the opening of the brand new Poggenpohl showroom inside its store – the only one available to shop in Southern California.  Founded in 1892 in the heart of Germany, Poggenpohl is the oldest and best-known luxury kitchen brand with pieces that offer a world of choices – utilizing innovative design, custom-made solutions, and unsurpassed quality.
