Social Costa Mesa Set to Open Sister Restaurant in Huntington Beach

May 29, 2019

Social Costa Mesa partners, Andrew and Raquel Dorsey and Chronic Tacos co-founder Dan Biello, will open their second concept, Social Huntington Beach in July. They’ll be taking over the SeaSalt Woodfire Grill location and bringing back original executive chef, Jeffrey Boullt to take Social Huntington Beach to the next level.

Boullt returns to Social from Playground DTSA, where he was Chef de Cuisine from 2016 to 2018, and most recently, Rose Cafe in Venice Beach where he was Executive Sous Chef, cooking under Jason Neroni until April. Having grown up in Orange County and trained at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans before moving back to California, Boullt masterfully merges the two regional cuisines and will bring thoughtfully curated dishes to the Huntington Beach menu.

Like its sister restaurant, Social Huntington Beach will be a new-American dining concept offering chef and ingredient-focused dinner, brunch, late-night bites and creative cocktails, bringing crowd favorites from Social Costa Mesa to Huntington Beach.

The new location will offer unique features such as a Raw Bar and highlighting the site’s woodfire grill with elevated classics and coastal cuisine.

Cocktail enthusiasts can look forward to Bar Director Grayson Diercksmeier's creative craft cocktails. Using fresh, local ingredients to achieve flavors inspired by the food, Diercksmeier's cocktail menu promises to be the perfect complement to Chef Boullt’s creations.

The interior of the restaurant will be reimagined with a light color palette, bright lighting and a custom designed, centralized bar as the focal point. Offering plenty of natural light, the boho-chic design of the space will incorporate greenery throughout.

Extend the social experience outside and dine al fresco on the patio complete with an outdoor bar, fire pits, group lawn games like cornhole and more.

Social Huntington Beach will be at 21214 Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach.

Social Costa Mesa is 512 West 19th St. in Costa Mesa. 949.642.2425.
