Pacific Wine & Food Classic Presents New Curated Tasting Experiences

Pacific Wine & Food Classic presents exciting new tasting experiences to accompany an extensive lineup of chefs, restaurants, and wineries set to participate in the fourth annual epicurean event. Named one of USA Today’s list of 10 Best Food Festivals in the country, Pacific Wine & Food Classic invites guests to bask in the California sunshine to sample bites from the region’s top chefs, taste delectable wine pairings and refreshing libations in Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort's serene seaside landscape from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, October 1.

The sun-splashed event begins with a welcome cocktail made with Licor 43 upon entering, and a pour of Champagne Lanson when stepping into the breezy, shaded big tent portion of the open-air venue. Discover 100 premium wines from throughout the world, locally brewed craft beer, and a variety of freshly crafted premium cocktails by Grey Goose, Maker’s Mark, Tres Generaciones, and Bacardi. 

Pacific Wine & Food Classic will highlight many Southern California favorites, with an outstanding lineup of more than 30 restaurants and food purveyors. New this year, indulge in Southern California’s largest charcuterie and crudité table clocking in at 30 feet long! 

This gorgeous spread courtesy of Lover's Boards and Melissa’s Produce will be overflowing with a vast selection of artisanal cheeses, handcrafted charcuterie, colorful crudités,, and a variety of fresh seasonal fruit, jams, nuts, olives, bread, crackers, and other accouterments. With edible flowers providing the finishing touch, this spread will be the ultimate pairing with Champagne Lanson or one of the many premium wines available. Adding to this feast by the sea, Chef Leo Razo, a World Champion paella chef, will be making his globally-renowned giant paella live on site.

Also debuting at the 2022 Pacific Wine & Food Classic is the Taco Garden, presented by TacoTuesday.com featuring a smorgasbord of tacos to suit every palate. Experience delicious taco creations from restaurants including Descanso, specializing in authentic Central Mexican street-inspired cuisine, elevated Mexican fast-casual Mexican-inspired fare from Chelas Mexican Kitchen, farm-fresh Mexican inspired bites from URBANA Mexican Gastronomy, Mexico City-inspired tacos from Taco Rosa, artisanal delectable items from Puesto and authentic, modern Mexican tacos from Sol Agave.

In between bites and pours, dance at the Silent Disco by Celebrity Cruise, while sipping their great offerings from Jackson Family Wines, including La Crema Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Then wind down at the San Simeone Wine Lounge, or relax at the idyllic, dreamy picnic setups with chic decor that will surround guests at the Dolce Picnic Takeover. Live music and a DJ will provide the perfect background ambiance.

Extend the fun by turning a day at Pacific Wine & Food Classic into a mini getaway! Make VEA Newport Beach your home for the weekend. Guests staying at the resort will have access to a free shuttle to and from the event. The resort’s VIEW Restaurant & Lounge will offer an $85 per person, three-course “Pre Fix” dinner menu on Friday and Saturday evenings. After the festival, the resort’s poolside Edge Bar will host a “Wine Down at VEA” after party which will include live music and exclusive appetizers.
