Orange County’s Newest Craft Brewery

August 13, 2016

Anaheim’s newest and most unique craft brewery, Unsung Brewery just opened in the newly renovated Make building next to the Anaheim Packing House.

Unsung’s owner and award-winning craft beer maker, Mike Crea, explains his specialty: “We strive to craft beer of uncanny flavor and depth that plays well with food.  Our lineup reflects a blending of Midwest heritage with West Coast progression.” Here’s the thing, Unsung was inspired by of all things heroes and heroines from comic books. Mike says, “I feel the brewer is the unsung hero; out of the public eye brewing in a potentially dangerous environment for hours…our slogan is the pursuit of heroic beer.”

The décor echoes that inspiration with comic books and memorabilia including characters Anthia and Propeller Head in addition to mainstays of Marvel Comics.

The Make building will also welcome a winery and distillery all complimented with Jav’s BBQ in early fall.

Unsung is open 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday; 1 to 11 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.  www.unsungbrewing.com

Make building is at 500 S. Anaheim Blvd.
