Nekter Juice Bar Celebrates National Spinach Day

Known for its fresh and cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and cleanses, Nékter Juice Bar will celebrate National Spinach Day on Sunday, March 26 from 8–11 a.m. with complimentary Sneaky Spinach Smoothies to the first 100 kids to come into its flagship location in Costa Mesa.

The Sneaky Spinach Smoothie has gained popularity from Nékter co-founder Alexis Schulze’s recently debuted children’s book, Sneaky Spinach, aimed at encouraging young children and their families to eat healthier and live more active and balanced lives. Proceeds from the sale of the book benefit the Festival of Children Foundation, founded by Orange County philanthropist Sandy Segerstrom Daniels to support non-profit organizations, causes and programs that benefit children in America.

You can try this at home with your kids!

Sneaky Spinach Smoothie Recipe
5           Frozen Strawberries
½ cup   Frozen Blueberries
½          Frozen Banana
1 ½ tsp  Agave
8 oz      2% reduced fat or 1% skim milk (or alternative)
Sneaky Spinach: add 3-8 spinach leaves

Blend until all fruit is combined and enjoy!
