Music Meets Food, Chefs Table Dinners at MESA

July 21, 2017

Mesa and Executive Chef, Niki Starr, are at it again. The Costa Mesa-based lounge is debuting Chef’s Table Dinners on Wednesday, July 26, and continuing the last Wednesday of each month.

You can experience Mesa’s monthly music-inspired Chef’s Table series with their delectable bites, visually stunning displays, and lively ambiance, influenced by a different artist each month. The themed dinners are composed of six courses, the first being an amuse, prepared by Mesa’s own Chef Niki Starr. Each course is served with a paired beverage, each individually delicious.

There will be live music presented by the Joshua Payne Orchestra, which will play the music in which Mesa has themed the dinner around. July’s Chef Table menu is inspired by the work of Chilean-American composer and Chef Niki’s current favorite artist, Nicolas Jaar.

The Courses of the Nicolas Jaar-Inspired Dinner…
Amuse-Bouche Ensalada a la Chilena | fire roasted heirloom tomato, spiced popcorn, fresh herbs
2nd Course: Ceviche trio | mango habanero halibut, coconut lime shrimp, jalapeno citrus scallop
3rd Course:  Corn bisque with tomatillo salsa | served tableside
4th Course:  Prawns a la plancha with chimichurri and grilled lemon
5th Course:  Bistec a lo pobre | grilled Bilbao chorizo, papas fritas, egg and crispy shallot
6th Course:  Pisco sour cake | rum cake, meringue, lemon sorbet

Looking Forward --  The August Chef’s Table theme will be Rüfüs Du Sol, and September will be Earth Wind and Fire. Foodies and music fans alike are welcome to buy tickets for one of these 7 p.m. dinners, available on the last Wednesday of the month.
