‘Love Grows By Giving’ Wine Tasting

Orange County wine lovers and foodies alike will unite in support of at-risk youth at the 9th annual “Love Grows by Giving" fundraiser on Friday, February 22, from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. Guests will celebrate the month of love by raising funds for nonprofit Waymakers’ Huntington Beach Youth Shelter, a “safe haven” for homeless, runaway, abused and at-risk youth. The charitable event will feature wine tastings, beer samplings, live music and an exceptional culinary experience from local fine dining restaurants.

Waymakers is an Orange County nonprofit that provides counseling and support services to struggling children and families at their greatest time of need.

Featured participants will include Jackson Family Wines, Duckhorn, Main Street Wine Company, Cambalache Grill, Watertable at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, BLK and Duke’s Huntington Beach. The event will also offer live and silent auctions to raise funds for the Huntington Beach Youth Shelter, with prizes to include a stay in a Presidential Suite at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa. Dennis Kuhl, chairman of Angels Baseball and a longtime supporter of Waymakers, will chair Love Grows by Giving.

Event sponsors will include the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, Angels Baseball, Speedo USA, Chevron, AES Huntington Beach, the Woravka Family Foundation and NuVision Federal Credit Union, as well as individual sponsors.

“Love Grows by Giving” Wine Tasting

On Friday, Feb. 10 from 6 to 9:30 p.m., Community Service Programs (CSP) will host its seventh annual “Love Grows by Giving" Wine Tasting fundraiser to benefit CSP’s Huntington Beach Youth Shelter, a safe haven for homeless, runaway, abused and at-risk youth at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa.

The event will feature an evening of special wines, including from Main Street Wine Company, Brix Sunset Beach and Rodney Strong and Kendall-Jackson, wine education, food pairings from local fine dining restaurants such as Hyatt Watertable, Duke’s, Red Table, Buon Gusto, and beer samplings, live music and more. 

Live and silent auctions will include prizes such as a two-night stay in a Presidential Suite at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa with dinner for two and a VIP welcome amenity (a $4,750 value).
