Let’s Misbehave!

February 21, 2014

Please join me at the premiere gala of Orange County, the JDRF OC's annual Dream Gala “Let's Misbehave!” on Saturday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Regis Monarch Beach. The black tie event is personal for me since one of my four sons was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 8 years ago, and I want the burden of this terrible disease to disappear for my son and for everyone affected as soon as possible.

I believe that JDRF is on the right track to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF is the only organization with a strategic research plan to end T1D. JDRF is currently sponsoring $530 million in scientific research in 17 countries. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education.

Even if you can’t make it to the gala, you can help by contributing a donation at any level to thee 100% tax deductible Fund a Cure.  The honorees this year, Janet and Carl Nolet Lara and Tom Giddings have chosen the Artificial Pancreas as the Fund A Cure research program.

The evening features a Speakeasy theme, a hosted cocktail reception, collectible wine and silent auction, dinner, live auction and Fund a Cure. Our live auction members and honorees have been working hard to secure some amazing packages for this year’s Gala auction.

Here is a little teaser of just a few things you can expect to see:

*Prohibition is Over! See where it all happens.  A tour of the Nolet Spirits factory in Holland.
*Meet Golf Legend Arnold Palmer!  A once in a lifetime experience with the greatest golfer of all time.
*New York Film Festival  As presenting sponsors of this fall festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre will provide you and a guest with an all-inclusive trip to rub elbows with the stars in your new Reverso watch.

Tickets cost $500 per person and are available here, or call the JDRF office at 949.553.0363, or email at dmogilski@jdrf.org.

St. Regis Monarch Beach is at 1 Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point.
