Holiday Dining in Style at South Coast Plaza

South Coast Plaza is all dressed up and sparkling for the holidays! And, several restaurants are planning special holiday menus and treats.

Dine Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Morton’s The Steakhouse

Go out on the town for Christmas dinner at Morton’s! Enjoy the three-course Chateaubriand menu or your favorite Morton’s signature steak.  $179 for two, excluding tax & gratuity.

Start the celebration with Morton’s specialty cocktail, Sparkling Holly—Duckhorn Decoy sparkling wine with a touch of crème de cassis, house-made cranberry syrup, and garnished with snowcapped cranberries.

First course is a winter salad of mixed field greens, spiced walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, and creamy balsamic vinaigrette. The Chateaubriand for two comes with roasted pearl onions, red wine demi-glace reduction, sauce Béarnaise, and au jus. Sides include sour cream mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and baked corn soufflé. For dessert, select either white chocolate & pecan bread pudding or bruléed cheesecake with dark cherry compote.  À la carte menu also available. 

Or celebrate at home and pre-order Morton’s Christmas dinner to-go. The Chateaubriand package is served fully prepared upon pickup.  $179 for two-plus tax

Christmas Eve Dinner at Terrace by Mix Mix

Stroll down the Bridge of Gardens, sparkling with holiday lights, and enjoy an early prix fixe dinner at TERRACE by Mix Mix.  Starting at 4 p.m., with the last seating at 7 p.m., chef Ross Pangilinan offers a three-course dinner for $55 (plus beverages, tax, and gratuity).

First course choices are chef’s trio, parsnip, green apple, and celery root soup or smoked salmon with potato pancakes.  Main selections are surf and turf, 6-oz. beef tenderloin or house-made agnolotti. For dessert, options are chocolate symphony or green apple sorbet.  Kids’ pizza is available for $12.50.

Endulge in Michelin Star rated, Knife Pleat’s caviar service during lunch and dinner. Caviar service includes pomme gaufrette, toasted brioche, 2 oeufs brouillés with chives.

New Year’s Eve Luxe Menu at Water Grill

For a spectacular way to ring in the New Year, Water Grill offers a decadent four-course dinner with an abundance of choices, priced at $135 per person and $50 for optional wine pairings (plus tax and gratuity). Memorialize the night with a photo booth picture compliments of Water Grill. Early reservations are advised.

First course selections include wild jumbo shrimp cocktail, half dozen oyster sampler, spicy lobster avocado roll, or jumbo lump crab cakes.

Next, choose the signature clam chowder or one of three salads: roasted beet, organic greens, or Caesar.

Entrée choices include filet and South African lobster tail surf & turf, wild Chilean sea bass, New Zealand King salmon, North American hard-shell lobster, Double R Ranch filet mignon or for a surcharge, Snake River Farms American wagyu ribeye or King Crab legs. 

Dessert options are chocolate espresso cake, caramel bread pudding, and maple cheesecake.

MOULIN

Recently debuted on SCP’s Garden Terrace, MOULIN brings a taste of Paris to OC. For the holidays only, enjoy individual mini bûches with gingerbread sponge, pear compote, vanilla mousse, and finished with white chocolate glaze and stars. The beloved French classic yule log dessert, bûche de Noël, is available to take home the week before Christmas.  Medium or large sizes and choice of three flavors: chocolate hazelnut, raspberry rose and vanilla pear.
