Hair with a Twist

April 21, 2016

The creative team at Meleesa the Salon in Huntington Beach are offering an innovative spin on an ancient tradition, entitled Hair Dream Catchers as an extension to their popular Braid Bar services. Owner Meleesa Miller and her team weave a mix of fabrics, beads, threads, and feathers into a variety of hairstyles, with each look customized for each client.

Building upon the belief that dream catchers function by filtering out the good from the bad, clients leave the salon with not only a unique new look, they also enjoy the positive energy created by their new accessory. “Meshing the mix of hair with fabrics and threads is perfect for a transition from spring into summer, “Meleesa said. “I’m excited to take the current braiding trend to the next level with this creative expression of colors and textures.”

Creative Artist Meleesa Miller, a Costa Rican native's concern for the environment inspired her to use mainly botanically-based, vegan, and gluten free products for her clients.  A selection of Meleesa’s work and services including the Face Bar can be found at meleesaluna.com.
