h2hotel Relaunches “Living Room” for Plant Lovers
h2hotel, the sustainably-chic and award-winning hotel located just off the historic town plaza in Healdsburg, has relaunched its “Living Room” styling amenity that offers guests the opportunity to lushly decorate a suite with a variety of plants from Dragonfly Floral, a Healdsburg-based organic flower farm, and full-service florist.
For those not ready to part with their new foliage friends, guests can take home one house plant and its container and purchase additional plants from the collection. The room styling is available year-round and starts at $150.
“Eco-friendly elements can be found wherever you look in h2hotel, so we are excited to give guests the opportunity to create a lush home away from home that emphasizes the environmental impact our efforts work toward,” said Circe Sher, co-founder of Piazza Hospitality, owners of h2hotel. “Dragonfly Floral has a wonderful selection of plants that will add a refreshing layer of fun to a stay in one of our rooms.”
As the first property in Sonoma County to earn LEED Gold certification, h2hotel has proven its commitment to eco-friendly hospitality since its opening 12 years ago. From its undulating “green roof” that filters rainwater, focuses on energy conservation, and EV charging stations to the locally sourced produce used at Spoonbar, every detail of h2hotel is crafted to be gentle on the environment and welcoming to guests. Environmentally conscious visitors can appreciate the numerous green components in each guest room, including sustainable bamboo flooring, chemical-free rugs from Peace Industry, recyclable paper hangers, natural bath amenities in refillable containers, and glass water glasses made from recycled wine bottles.
h2hotel has always prioritized the protection and conservation of Healdsburg’s scenic landscape. The land is healthier through the hotel’s efforts to rejuvenate the soil, employ an erosion-control plan to minimize runoff, and leave 60 percent of the site as open space to promote biodiversity. h2hotel also works closely with local community groups to protect Foss Creek, which runs through the property.
A short walk from h2hotel, Dragonfly Floral sustainably grows a large selection of plants, each carefully chosen for form, texture, fragrance, and color. The gardens' variety and abundance allow the farm to produce healthy and stunning flora almost any time of year. Visitors are welcome to explore the garden, the collection of more than 1,500 roses, and see the various wildlife living on the farm.
