Going Solar in OC

February 10, 2014

A new government sponsored financing program, Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) called HERO, was just launched to give local homeowners the opportunity to go solar for no money out of pocket and repay the investment through property taxes, and receive tax write-offs. Cities that have opted in to the program include Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Garden Grove, La Palma, Newport Beach, Placentia, Santa Ana, Tustin and Westminster.

Benefits of the new government sponsored PACE financing program include: re-paid through property taxes; transferable assessment, stays with the property not the individual; tax savings/credits; no credit score requirements; no money down; and fixed interest rates.

To find out more, Sullivan Solar Power in Irvine, one of the top 10 installers of PACE financed projects in SoCal, is hosting a free educational seminar on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Tustin Library.

The Tustin Library is at 345 E Main St. in Tustin. 714.544.7725.

Sullivan Solar is at 16 Technology Drive, #122 in Irvine. 1.800-SULLIVAN.
